Russian FM, IAEA chief discuss situation around Zaporizhzhia NPP

On September 20, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi on the margins of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

Prime reports citing a statement from the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the conversation the sides exchanged views on the main areas of the agency's activities.

The safety issues of the Zaporizhzhia NPP (ZNPP) were also discussed in detail.

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the Russian side confirmed its intention to continue further cooperation with the IAEA in order to ensure the normal operation of ZNPP.
