Special envoy: Armenia can achieve early peace with Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan and Armenia have agreed on the main principles of normalising relations.

Ruben Rubinyan, Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament and Special Envoy for the Normalisation of Relations with Türkiye made the statement in an interview with CNN Turk, per Report.

Recognition of each other's territorial integrity and the opening of communication lines on the basis of sovereignty are key issues, he said.

"We can achieve peace in the shortest possible time," Rubinyan added.

The diplomat is of the opinion that Armenia does its utmost for the sake of peace: "The normalisation of relations between Türkiye and Armenia can also influence the normalisation of relations between Yerevan and Baku".
