Apple files first new trademark in Russia since 2024
Apple registered its trademark in Russia at the start of 2026, marking the company’s first such activity in the country in more than a year.
According to Russian media, the application, originally submitted from the United States in November 2023, concerns the Apple trademark under Class No. 41 of the Nice Classification. This category covers a broad range of services, including all forms of education and professional training, entertainment and leisure activities, as well as services related to providing the public with visual artworks or literature for cultural or educational purposes.
Rospatent data shows that throughout 2025, Apple registered only a single trademark in Russia — Centre Stage, filed in November 2024 — and did not submit any additional applications for the registration of goods or services during that year.
Apple’s limited activity in the Russian market follows its 2022 announcement that it would suspend all product sales in the country after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
