Armenia, France to sign strategic partnership agreement during Macron’s visit
A strategic partnership agreement between Armenia and France will be signed during French President Emmanuel Macron’s upcoming visit to Yerevan, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan has stated.
In an interview with public television, he said the agenda of Macron’s visit would be extensive, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
According to him, several documents will be signed on cooperation in various fields, including education, military-technical cooperation, and artificial intelligence.
The trip will include high-level meetings, including talks with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Macron is scheduled to arrive in Armenia on May 4 for a two-day official visit.
The French leader is expected to participate in the European Political Community summit in Yerevan, with his state visit beginning the following day, May 5.
In addition to EU leaders, Yerevan has invited heads of various international organisations to the summit, including NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
