Armenia's ex-deputy chief of General Staff charged with new case

Armenian Prosecutor's Office has opened a new case against former Deputy Chief of General Staff, Lt-Gen Haykaz Baghmanyan.

He is accused of laundering 600 thousand dollars, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.

According to the information, early last year he was charged with concealment of property and income on a large scale, as well as enrichment by illegal means.

To recap, Baghmanyan was also deputy chief of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Joint Staff from March 2018 to December 2020.
