Armenian FM to deliver report at UN Sustainable Development Forum in New York
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan is set to make a working visit to New York from July 15-16.
During his visit, Mirzoyan will participate in the ministerial segment of the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.
On behalf of the Armenian government, Mirzoyan will deliver the third national report, summarizing the progress in implementing the sustainable development agenda, its goals, and objectives. Additionally, bilateral meetings and related events are scheduled to take place during the visit.
The United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development is the central platform for monitoring and reviewing the progress of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Established in 2012 by the outcome document of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), the High-Level Political Forum replaced the Commission on Sustainable Development and aims to provide political leadership, guidance, and recommendations on sustainable development.
