Azerbaijan appoints police general Khankendi city commandant

Commandants of cities, districts, and villages that have come under Azerbaijan’s control after local anti-terrorist measures have been named.

In keeping with the orders, Col Zaur Nabiyev becomes commandant of Khojaly, and Col Elchin Gasimov of Tartar districts, APA reports.

Both of them are the police chiefs of their respective districts.

The commandant of Khankendi is Police Maj-Gen Sardar Safarov.
