Azerbaijan facilitates another transit of Russian wheat to Armenia
A new shipment of Russian wheat is scheduled to be transported to Armenia via Azerbaijan on July 3 as part of a transit operation.
The cargo will consist of 14 railway wagons loaded with wheat and will depart from Azerbaijan's Bilajari railway station before continuing its journey to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The previous shipment was dispatched on June 28, when 770 tons of wheat were transported from Russia in 11 railway wagons.
To date, Azerbaijan has facilitated the transit of approximately 35,000 tons of grain, nearly 8,000 tons of fertilizer, 133 tons of aluminum, 68 tons of buckwheat, and 414 tons of anthracite from Russia to Armenia.
In addition to serving as a key transit corridor, Azerbaijan has exported more than 14,000 tons of diesel fuel and nearly 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline directly to Armenia.
