Azerbaijan holds rally to protest anti-Turkish film screening
The film entitled "Sisters Apart", containing anti-Turkish elements, will not be demonstrated in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku.
A sign of protest against the initiative of the German embassy in Azerbaijan and the EU delegation to Azerbaijan to demonstrate the film was expressed, so a decision was made to abandon this idea, according to APA.
The German embassy said that a decision was made not to show the film to avoid misunderstanding.
However, the public members gathered in front of the Landmark Cinema on November 30, in which the film was planned to be shown, and expressed a protest against the initiative to show the anti-Turkish film.
The protesters condemned the intention of the initiators and expressed support for fraternal Türkiye, chanting “Türkiye is Azerbaijan!”, “Long live Azerbaijan-Türkiye!”, “PKK, go away!”, “Terrorists, go away!”, “Stop terror!” and other slogans.
