Azerbaijan invites Black Sea Bank to support projects in Karabakh
Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov has said that the measures are being taken under the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to diversify the Azerbaijani economy, support entrepreneurs, and provide them with soft loans.
Sharifov made these remarks at the business forum entitled "BSTDB role in supporting a diversified and innovative Azerbaijani economy in a changing world" held in Baku as part of the 24th annual meeting of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), Trend reports.
The minister noted that in this regard, Azerbaijan intends to expand cooperation with BSTDB.
He noted that Azerbaijan liberated its territories, having gained a historic victory in the 44-day second Karabakh war and putting an end to the 30-year Armenian occupation.
“Today, the Azerbaijani side is taking practical steps to ensure peace and partnership in the South Caucasus region. Azerbaijan began to restore and construct facilities at its own expense immediately after the end of the war,” Sharifov added.
