Azerbaijan, Latvia ink agricultural cooperation deal

A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the Vegetable Research Institute of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Agriculture and the Latvian University of Natural Sciences and Technologies.

The document was signed during a meeting in Baku on July 14 between the delegation headed by the Latvian Minister of Agriculture Kaspars Gerhards, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, and the delegation headed by Azerbaijan’s Agriculture Minister Inam Karimov, Report informs citing the ministry.

The meeting discussed the possibilities of agricultural cooperation. It was noted that Azerbaijan and Latvia can expand cooperation in the areas such as the transfer of cutting-edge technologies in agriculture, scientific research, training of specialists in the agricultural sector and export of agricultural products.
