Azerbaijan, Latvia mark 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations PHOTO
An event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 11.
The event was attended by senior staff of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, members of the Milli Majlis, employees of the Latvian Embassy in the country, as well as other guests, the ministry told Caliber.Az.
Addressing the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev talked in detail about the development of a strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Latvia in various fields, including political, economic, humanitarian, scientific-technical, and cultural.
It was noted that high-level and high-level visits and contacts, as well as the second session of the Strategic Dialogue, held last year in Baku, have played an important role in expanding cooperation.
Latvian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Edgars Skuja expressed hope that bilateral ties between the two countries will continue to develop. Talking about the history of relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia, the ambassador noted that bilateral ties are based on historical traditions, mutual friendship and cooperation.
At the end of the event, the participants were familiarized with the exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia.
