Azerbaijan national team becomes European champion with record result

In Santiago de Compostela (Spain), the Greco-Roman wrestling youth EURO has ended.

As azerisport.com reports, Azerbaijani wrestlers won 6 (2-2-2) awards and 144 points, taking the first place in the team event. This is a record figure in the history of the youth team.

The top three also included Georgia (134) and Türkiye (113).

Recall that Elmir Aliyev (55 kg) and Ruslan Nurullayev (72 kg) became champions, Davud Mammadov (77 kg) and Mazaim Mardanov (130 kg) lost in the final, Farahim Mustafayev (63 kg) and Kanan Abdullazade (67 kg) took third places.
