Co-founder of Tesla Motors Jeffrey Brian Straubel has said that Azerbaijan occupies an important place in the global oil industry.

According to Report, addressing the InMerge Innovation Summit in Baku, he noted that countries occupying an important place in the oil industry should take steps to reduce carbon emissions: "This is a key point for me, reducing carbon emissions is possible through technology. We regularly see news in the global media about reducing emissions. However, statistics show that every year carbon emissions globally are increasing, reaching record levels. I hope we will achieve major steps in this direction," he noted.
