Azerbaijan to commission 12 HPPs in liberated lands Turning Karabakh into green energy zone

In 2023, AzərEnerji will inaugurate substations and hydroelectric power plants in 12 locations in the liberated territories.

AzərEnerji told APA that the construction of 9 AzərEnerji power plants in the liberated territories will begin in 2023, and the construction of 12 hydroelectric power plants in Karabakh and East Zangezur, which will produce environmentally-friendly "green energy", is underway, with some completed.

These 12 plants are expected to be operational in 2024.
