Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan strengthen ties, hail importance of Turkic unity Military personnel attend advanced UAV training course / PHOTO
Under the 2024 bilateral cooperation plan, Uzbek military personnel are visiting Azerbaijan to participate in a course on the planning and tactical use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in modern armed conflicts.
The first day of the course included a briefing on the history and operations of the Azerbaijani Air Force, the use of UAVs in traditional combat, combat flight organization, and the application of mini and micro UAVs within the Azerbaijani Army, Caliber.Az reports citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
The delegation was shown various UAVs from the Azerbaijani Army's arsenal and received detailed information on the tactical and technical specifications of these systems.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defence Industry, Hidayat Azimov, has met with a visiting Uzbek delegation led by Akram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade.
Deputy Minister Aliyev expressed confidence in the continued development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
The meeting highlighted the significance of solidarity among Turkic nations and acknowledged the successful growth of relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan across various fields.
The sides discussed the current state of cooperation in the defence industry, its potential expansion, and other issues of mutually importance.
