Azerbaijani delegation at 16th meeting of 1954 Hague Convention
Azerbaijan’s delegation is taking part in the 16th Meeting of the High Contracting Parties to the 1954 Hague Convention, which opened on December 1 at UNESCO Headquarters.
“The 16th Meeting of the High Contracting Parties to the 1954 Hague Convention has started at UNESCO Headquarters. Azerbaijan’s delegation is participating in the meeting,” the post said, Caliber.Az reports, citing the X page of Azerbaijan’s Permanent Mission to UNESCO.

The 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict is the first international treaty devoted exclusively to safeguarding cultural heritage during armed conflict. It was signed in The Hague, Netherlands, on May 14, 1954, and entered into force on August 7, 1956.
