Azerbaijani Military Institute hosts scientific conference
The activities conducted according to the action plan carried out in the Azerbaijani Army, approved by the Azerbaijani defence minister, are underway in pursuance of the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on declaring 2023 as the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in Azerbaijan.
The next 18th conference of the Cadet Military Scientific Society of the institute was held at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev on the topic "Heydar Aliyev's personality, political portrait and management experience", the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The officers and teaching staff of the military institute, representatives of the Academy named after Heydar Aliyev of the State Security Service, the Academy of the State Border Service, the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Higher Military School of the Internal Troops attended the conference.
First, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honoured by observing a minute of silence.
About 70 participants from the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev and other higher educational joined the conference in the topics "Military theoretical sciences", "Humanitarian sciences and national security", "Technical sciences", "Fundamental and natural sciences", "Economics and information technology".
Their reports were heard and the views on current issues were exchanged.
Reports on topics “The life and activities of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev are an example for the youth”, “The activities of Heydar Aliyev in the security agencies”, “The work of Heydar Aliyev done in the field of army development” and other topics were given.
The main purpose of the conference is to identify cadets who are inclined to scientific and scientific-research work, increase their role in the development of military science, improve their individual skills, abilities, intellectual level, and worldview, the formation of scientific and creative activity, freedom, independent mindset, analytical and critical thinking, discuss actual issues of military theory and practice, as well as inform conference participants about the role of ongoing research in the development of military science.
In the end, certificates and honourary diplomas were presented to the cadets, whose reports were positively assessed.
