Azerbaijanis hold rally near French embassy in Moldova
Azerbaijanis living in Moldova held a protest rally near the Embassy of the Republic of France in Moldova with the organizational support of the Congress of Moldovan Azerbaijanis, on November 4.
The rally was held in protest against the draft pro-Armenian resolution put forward by six members of the Senate on October 3, which contains biased accusations against Azerbaijan, and calls on France and other EU countries to impose an embargo on gas and oil imports from Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani embassy in Moldova told APA.
This resolution is an absolutely one-sided and biased view of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, which completely ignores the pain and aspirations of millions of ordinary Azerbaijanis, who have been expelled from their native lands for about 30 years.
The participants of the demonstration handed over an appeal from the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova to the French embassy.
The appeal noted that despite the tripartite agreements signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, and the agreements in Brussels through the mediation of the President of the Council of the European Union Charles Michel, the Armenian side is still not provided Azerbaijan with accurate and complete mine maps, as well as information about the fate of about 4,000 Azerbaijanis who went missing during the First Karabakh War (1990-1994).
The appeal also mentions the provocation of the Armenian armed forces of Armenia, which mined areas in the Dashkasan, Kalbajar and Lachin districts of Azerbaijan, after which they fired on the positions of the armed forces of Azerbaijan, which led to casualties among the military personnel.
