Baku hosting meeting of Coordinating Council of Prosecutor Generals of CIS member states
Baku is hosting the 33rd meeting of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states.
The meeting is attended by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev, Prosecutors General of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Russia, the Executive Secretary of the Coordinating Council of CIS Prosecutors General, as well as responsible persons of the CIS Secretariat and the CIS Anti-Terrorist Centre, Report says.
Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev read out President Ilham Aliyev's address to the participants of the meeting.
Kamran Aliyev expressed satisfaction that for the first time in the history of the organisation an event of such a high level was held in Baku.
He stressed that the meeting would give additional impetus to the development of cooperation between prosecutor's offices of member countries in the field of fighting crime, ensuring law and order, and protection of rights and freedoms of citizens.
