Baku hosts exhibition on dark legacy of French colonialism PHOTO
An exhibition dedicated to the crimes of France during colonialism has been held in Baku.
The exhibition was held within the framework of an international conference on “Colonialism: Eradication of religious and national identity” organized by the Baku Initiative Group, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The exhibition included materials illustrating the consequences of French colonial rule, such as violence, oppression and loss of cultural traditions of local peoples.
For the record, the Baku Initiative Group, an international non-governmental organization, is dedicated to fostering international partnerships in the fields of decolonization and human rights.
The group firmly and continuously supports the struggles for freedom and independence of those living under colonial and neocolonial rule, committing to solidarity and practical assistance.
