Baykar enhances Bayraktar KIZILELMA for TCG ANADOLU
Turkish aircraft manufacturer Baykar is carrying out significant improvements on the prototype of the Bayraktar KIZILELMA unmanned combat aircraft.
Since Baykar has developed the Bayraktar TB3 strike UAV and the KIZILELMA fighter drone for use on the TCG ANADOLU, design changes were necessary for this purpose, reports Caliber.Az via a tweet from SavunmaSanayiST.com.

Son KIZILELMA prototipinde, iniş takımlarında da bazı tasarımsal değişikliklere gidildiği gözlemleniyor. İniş takımının iyileştirilmesi, özellikle iniş anlarında gövde üzerinde oluşan stresin azaltılması açısından kritik öneme sahip.

In the latest KIZILELMA prototype, modifications have been made to the chassis design. Enhancing the landing gear is crucial to reduce the load on the fuselage, especially during landing and take-off on the TCG ANADOLU.
Additionally, the new prototype features a simpler design for the vertical stabilizers on the tail compared to the previous version. This simplification is due to the subsystems controlling stabilization being placed inside the aircraft’s fuselage.
As a result, the aircraft now has a smaller RF signature (cross-sectional area) and benefits from aerodynamic improvements that enhance overall performance.
Moreover, there are several avionics updates to the aircraft fuselage. Images and data to be released after the first flight will provide a clearer understanding of these changes.
