bp investments in Azerbaijan reach $85 billion

bp Vice President for the Caspian Region Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli has said that so far, investments by bp, which is the operator of several big projects in the Caspian Sea, and its partners in the Azerbaijani projects reached $85 billion.

“Over the entire period, more than 4.3 billion barrels of oil were produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of fields. About 50 billion cubic metres of associated gas have so far been transferred free of charge to the Azerbaijani government, and more than 200 billion cubic metres of natural gas have been produced from the Shah Deniz field since the beginning of its development,” he said, Report informs.
