CoE head, Azerbaijani SSS chief mull confidence-building measures with Armenia

Secretary General of Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić has met the Chief of State Security Service of Azerbaijan Ali Naghiyev.

The meeting focused on the importance of fostering dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including through confidence-building measures (CBMs), Caliber.Az reports, citing the website of the Council of Europe.

Marija Pejčinović Burić reiterated that all those living in the Council of Europe geographical space are entitled to the full enjoyment of all human rights and freedoms as enshrined in the European Convention on Human Rights.

In a ceremony with the Secretary-General, Ali Naghiyev signed the Convention against Trafficking in Human Organs (CETS 216).
