Cyprus ready to promote peace between Azerbaijan, Armenia - president

President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides has affirmed his country’s readiness to promote peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"We are ready to contribute to the achievement of lasting peace and tranquility in this region. It is necessary to support every positive step on this path. What is happening shows that political difficulties cannot be taken lightly," Christodoulides said as he addressed the winter plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Report informs.
