The delegation first travelled to the village of Sarijali, where they were briefed by Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts.
Huseynov outlined the progress made under the first phase of reconstruction, which includes the completion of 203 houses, as well as the development of key infrastructure such as roads, electricity, telecommunications, water, and gas supplies. The village has also seen the establishment of educational, social, and cultural facilities, with former internally displaced persons now resettled.
The officials also visited the Aghdam Industrial Park, where Agil Azizov, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Economic Zones Development Agency, provided an update on its development. Established by a presidential decree in May 2021, the park aims to revitalise industrial activity in the region and create employment opportunities.
