Ex-chief of Armenian General Staff: Azerbaijan always achieves its goals

Movses Hakobyan, former head of the Armenian Armed Forces General Staff, has said that Azerbaijan achieves whatever goals it sets for itself.

"Armenian authorities talk about successes in acquiring weapons. However, we should realize one thing: weapons are just a means of fighting," Hakobyan said in an interview with Armenian media, commenting on Prime Minister Pashinyan's statement on the procurement of various weapons systems, Caliber.Az reports.

"The availability of weapons is secondary. First of all, one should have desire, knowledge and abilities, and weapons are only a means.

As for the probability that Azerbaijan will carry out a new escalation at this stage, when elections are scheduled there in February, I can say that everything is possible. Whatever goal Azerbaijan sets for itself, it will achieve it," Hakobyan said.
