Fire at ammo depot destroys dozens of buildings near Russia's Belgorod
Russian Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has said that 49 houses were damaged following a fire that broke out at an ammunition depot near the village of Timonovo on August 18.
He made the announcement on his Telegram channel.
The governor said that, together with the head of the district, Aleksei Ivanovich Dybov, he examined the damaged houses on the territory of Timonovo village.
"After a door-to-door walk around four villages in the district, minor damage was found in the roof, facade and glazing of 49 households and one school. The gas and electricity are supplied as normal," Gladkov wrote.
He added that damage to the windows and roof will soon be repaired at the school to start the educational process from September 1. Restoration work in residential buildings will start on August 22.
