Foreign terror recruiter apprehended in Russia's Volgograd amid anti-extremism crackdown VIDEO
Volgograd authorities have detained a foreign national suspected of recruiting individuals for a prominent terrorist Islamic radical organization, an official statement from the local branch of the Federal Security Service (FSB) confirmed.
The suspect, a 28-year-old Uzbek national, is alleged to have actively engaged in recruitment activities within Volgograd, targeting vulnerable individuals to participate in the operations of a designated terrorist group, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
In addition to in-person recruitment, he disseminated propaganda materials—including texts and videos—on various social media platforms, promoting extremist ideologies that are prohibited under Russian law.
