Annen made these remarks at a joint briefing with Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan in Yerevan, following the intergovernmental negotiations between Armenia and Germany (the first talks since 2014), Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.
“Germany has been providing Armenia with funds for many years [mostly in the form of loans, but also grants] mainly through Germany’s KfW Development Bank, as well as the German Agency for International Cooperation [GIZ]. These programmes will be continued,” Annen added.
Among the main spheres of funding, he mentioned the development of secondary specialised education, renewable energy, experience exchange programmes for municipal authorities.
