Investments in Azerbaijan's economy increase by 21%

As much as 4.58 billion manats ($2.7 billion) was allocated to fixed capital in Azerbaijan from January to April, which is 21.1 per cent more compared to the same period of 2022.

On an annual basis, investments in the oil and gas sector grew by 25.8 per cent, and in the non-oil and gas sector - by 18.5 per cent, Report informs citing the State Statistics Committee.

In the structure of funds spent, 2.62 billion manats ($1.54 billion) or 57.2 per cent fell on the production sector, 1.7 billion manats ($1 billion) or 37.2 per cent - on services, and 257.3 million manats or 5.6 per cent - for the construction of residential buildings.

Internal funds amounted to 3.34 billion manats ($1.96 billion) or 73 per cent, 3.25 billion manats ($1.91 billion) or 71 per cent were spent on construction and installation works.

Of the funds allocated to fixed capital, the share of funds of enterprises and organizations amounted to 47.1 per cent, budgetary funds - 36.7 per cent, personal funds of the population - 6.8 per cent, other funds - 5.7 per cent, bank loans - 3.7 per cent.
