Iran demands compensation from Arab states over alleged war involvement
Iran has demanded compensation from several Arab countries over what it describes as their “complicity” in US and Israeli military actions against the Islamic Republic.
Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir-Saeid Iravani, said Tehran is seeking reparations from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Tasnim.
Iravani stated that the five countries, through their internationally unlawful actions, had violated their international obligations toward the Islamic Republic of Iran and therefore bear international responsibility.
“They must fully compensate for the damage caused to Iran, including paying reparations for all material and moral losses resulting from their unlawful actions on the international stage,” he noted.
He added that the countries’ actions constituted violations of international law and insisted they are obligated to provide full compensation for the damages incurred by Iran.
