Iran refutes reports of Azerbaijani ambassadorial reshuffle UPDATED
Iran has clarified information about the end of the diplomatic mission of Seyyed Abbas Mousavi in Azerbaijan.
A source in diplomatic circles told Report that the ambassador's tenure ended last year.
"The ambassador's diplomatic mission ended at the end of last summer. However, he was instructed to continue his activities until the normalisation of relations with Azerbaijan and the reopening of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran.
Therefore, it should be noted that the ambassador will continue his activities until the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Iran resumes," the diplomatic mission added.

The source stated that Ambassador Seyyed Abbas Musavi, representing the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Azerbaijan, has completed his diplomatic mission, APA reports, citing IRNA.
Subsequently, reports indicate that a new Iranian ambassador will be appointed to Azerbaijan per existing agreements.
