Iranian athlete declines to sing national anthem in protest

At the Asian Championships held in Kazakhstan, Iranian athlete Farzane Fashihi won a gold medal in athletics at a distance of 60 metres indoors.

She refused to carry the Iranian flag and sing the national anthem at the award ceremony, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Telegram channel Azad Iran.

Despite the fact that she did not make any statements on this matter, her act was regarded as a protest against the repression carried out by the mullocratic regime against protesters in Tehran.
