Iranian film 'Without Prior Arrangement' wins Grand Prix at MIFF 2022

Iranian director Behrouz Shoaibi's film "Without Prior Arrangement" has won the Grand Prix at the Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF).

"Professionalism and courage won, as always, so the main prize for the best film is Without Prior Arrangement, directed by Behrouz Shoaibi, Iran," the chairman of the MIFF jury, Evgeny Mironov announced, TASS reports.

The film is about a woman named Yasmin who has been living in Germany since her childhood. Years later, together with her son, she returned to her homeland, Iran, where her dead father left her a surprise inheritance.

Other winners in the other categories were Serbian director Sinisa Cvetic (best director), Romanian actor Costel Cascaval (best male role), and Iranian actress Pegah Ahangarani (best female role).
