Kazakh oil exports to Germany grow by 150%
Kazakhstan's oil exports to Germany through the Russian state-controlled Transneft's pipeline system increased by 150% in April.
"The amount of Kazakh oil transported through the main oil pipeline system of the Transneft public joint stock company in the direction of the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point for further shipment to Germany increased by 30,000 tonnes, or 150%, in April compared with March, and amounted to 50,000 tonnes," KazTAG website reported on 16 May, citing the press service of the Kazakh national oil transporter KazTransOil.
According to the report, totally, 90,000 tonnes of Kazakh oil were delivered to Germany in February-April 2023. In December, Kazakhstan said it was ready to pump 1.2 million tonnes of oil to Germany via the Russian pipeline in 2023.
