Kazakh president endorses Trump’s "common-sense" approach to governance

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has described U.S. President Donald Trump as a “strong and far-sighted leader”, praising his focus on national interests and economic reforms, according to an interview published by Pakistan’s media.

The Kazakh leader said that Trump has overseen strong economic indicators and significant reforms, particularly in the social sector, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.

“President Trump, as a strong and far-sighted leader, considers his country’s national interests to be paramount,” Tokayev said. “This is clearly reflected in the strong performance of the U.S. economy and the deep reforms currently being implemented, especially in the social sphere.”

Tokayev also voiced support for what he described as Trump’s “common-sense policy” aimed at restoring order.

“I support his policy of common sense, which is aimed at restoring order,” he said.

The Kazakh president added that he follows a comparable political approach domestically, seeking to strengthen Kazakhstan amid what he called a challenging global environment.

“I believe that all citizens must strictly comply with the law and respect law enforcement agencies,” Tokayev said.
