Media: Fighters of disbanded "Wagner" PMC continue getting salaries
Mercenaries of "Wagner" Private Military Company (PMC) continue to receive wages, despite the fact that they were officially disbanded.
The report came from RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel "We Can Explain".
As the media found out, despite the dissolution, mercenaries still receive a salary, but in a smaller amount. Their payments fell to 150,000 rubles (USD 1,661), but this amount is almost three times more than the average salary in Russia.
Judging by the private chats of the relatives of the militants, after the unsuccessful rebellion of the PMC's chief Yevgeny Prigozhin and the termination of the participation of the PMC in military operations, the wages of the "Wagnerites" decreased by 40%. Previously, the fighters received 240 thousand rubles (USD 2,658) a month. They were paid money for participating in hostilities.
At the same time, mercenaries who are ready to leave for Belarus or African or Arab countries can count on payment of 150 thousand rubles (USD 1,661).
In the meantime, reports surfaced about the delays in payments. The families of the militants are worried that their men are left to their own in hotels in Anapa, the Krasnodar region of Russia, where they are waiting for the end of the contract and may not be able to bring home what they have earned. Their spouses are afraid that they will spend all their money on restaurants.
