Mexico keen to support global climate cooperation

Mexico will participate in COP29 to advance international collaboration on climate issues.

Joel Hernández, Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Mexico made a post on his X account, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Hernández revealed that he met with Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Mexico, Mammad Talibov, who extended an official invitation from the Azerbaijani government for Mexico's participation in COP29, which will be held in Baku.

"Mexico will be present to continue promoting international cooperation in addressing this global challenge," Hernández stated.

Ambassador Talibov also posted on his X platform that he delivered an official invitation letter from President Ilham Aliyev to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, inviting her to attend COP29.
