MFA spox: EU mission in Armenia collects intelligence against Russia

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the EU mission in Armenia is gathering intelligence against Russia and Iran, TASS reported.

"The effectiveness of the CSTO was convincingly demonstrated during the events, for example, in Kazakhstan in January 2022. In case the Armenian leadership agreed to deploy the organisation's observation mission on the territory of the republic, many problems could also be avoided," Zakharova said.

According to her, the Armenian leadership decided to call the EU mission, which under the auspices of monitoring collects data on Russia and Iran.
