MP: Azerbaijan should establish customs border checkpoint on Lachin road

Azerbaijan should establish a customs and border checkpoint on the Lachin road, Milli Majlis MP Vahid Ahmadov said during his speech at the plenary session of parliament.

The ceasefire was violated 15 times a few days ago, he said, according to Report.

"Armenians opened fire including in the direction of Sadarak, Shusha, and Kalbajar. The problem has become quite serious. It is therefore necessary to intensify negotiations with Russia to implement a control mechanism on the Lachin road. We should have a customs border checkpoint there. With its help, we will be able to prevent arms and ammunition from entering Karabakh. And today there are illegal Armenian armed groups in Karabakh. The situation is expected to become even more critical," Ahmadov stated.
