Qatar, Türkiye discuss regional mediation efforts, Iran–US talks
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, has discussed regional mediation efforts and bilateral cooperation in a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, according to a statement from Qatar’s Foreign Ministry.
The two officials focused on strengthening relations between Doha and Ankara, while also coordinating positions on ongoing diplomatic initiatives involving Pakistan in mediation efforts between the United States and Iran, Caliber.Az reports.

The talks also addressed broader efforts to de-escalate regional tensions, with both sides underlining the importance of diplomatic engagement as the preferred path to resolving disputes and maintaining stability.
Sheikh Mohammed stressed the need for all parties to respond constructively to ongoing mediation efforts, emphasising dialogue as a means to address the root causes of the crisis and prevent further escalation.
In a related development, Fidan held separate discussions with Pakistani mediators, focusing on the final stage of negotiations between Iran and the United States, according to Turkish diplomatic sources.
