Russia denies election interference, claims US damaging ties
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that US accusations against Russia of attempts to influence the election are causing irreparable damage to bilateral relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"Every time the exploitation of both Russia and [Russian leader Vladimir] Putin in the internal political struggle within America itself does new and new, little irreparable damage to bilateral Russian-American relations, but this happens every political cycle. And in recent political cycles it has only worsened," the Kremlin spokesman pointed out, commenting on a US national intelligence report claiming that Russia, China and Iran continue to attempt to interfere in US electoral processes.
Peskov also commented on the information about the increase in the US public debt to a record $35 trillion: "The US as one of the world's largest economies has a direct impact on the international economic conjuncture, but the situation is unlikely to put the brakes on militaristic aspirations.”
