Russia expands list of "unfriendly countries"
The Russian government has expanded its list of unfriendly countries, the Interfax agency reports, citing the Cabinet of Russian Ministers.
The list of newly added countries includes 11 British overseas territories, including Bermuda, British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Montserrat, Pitcairn Islands, Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan-da-Cunha, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, Akrotiri and Dhekelia, and Turks and Caicos.
According to the report, the list of countries, referred to by the government as "foreign states and territories that commit unfriendly actions against Russia, Russian companies and citizens" originally included only three British-controlled territories, namely Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands and Gibraltar.
