Russia's Roscosmos to attend International Astronautical Congress in Baku
A delegation of Roscosmos will take part in the exhibition exposition of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC-2023) opening in Baku on October 2.
The state corporation's CEO Yuri Borisov will hold talks with colleagues from space agencies of other countries on its margins.
"The Russian side will take part in the opening ceremony of the congress and its exhibition exposition," the press service of the state corporation told Interfax.
During the discussion with the participation of heads of leading space agencies, the head of Roscosmos "will touch upon the issues of manned cosmonautics, near-Earth space pollution, development of multi-satellite constellations and Earth remote sensing programs, responsible behaviour in space, personnel training for the space industry," the report said.
"The Russian delegation has scheduled bilateral meetings with colleagues from space agencies of other countries," the press service added.
The 74th Baku International Astronautics Congress is being held in partnership with the Azerbaijan Space Agency (Azerkomos) and the International Astronautical Federation in Baku.
The event will be attended by representatives of space agencies, the public sector, investors and private companies in the space sector, representatives of local and international media, in total more than 5,000 people from 101 countries.
At the International Astronautical Congress, 150 companies are represented in the exhibition pavilion.
