Russia’s Transneft sees no risk to Kazakhstan oil shipments
Kazakhstan’s oil export routes are not expected to face disruption despite changes affecting shipments to Germany via Russia, said Nikolay Tokarev, head of Russia’s Transneft.
“There are multiple alternative routes for transporting oil from Kazakhstan, whose deliveries toward Germany via Russia will cease from May 1, and no problems are expected in this area, Tokarev noted, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“I see no problems here, the volumes are not that large,” the top manager said, noting that Kazakhstan has access to export routes via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, as well as the Baltic and Black Sea corridors.
When asked whether supplies of Kazakh crude could be resumed via the Druzhba oil pipeline to Germany, Tokarev said he does not see such a decision “in the near future.”
