Russian oil tanker collides with boat off Turkish coast

An oil tanker sailing under the Russian flag to Greece and a light-engine boat carrying two people collided off the Turkish coast on Thursday [August 25] evening.
The incident occurred at about 21:00 local time opposite the Dardanelles Strait connecting the Aegean and Marmara Seas, European Pravda reports with reference to Sabah.
In conditions of heavy rain, a 140-metre oil tanker ran over a boat with two people on board.
The tanker's captain reported the incident to the Turkish Coast Guard, which sent a tug and a lifeboat to the scene.
As a result of the incident, no one was injured, but the boat was damaged. The boat is reported to be towed to the Turkish Gallipoli peninsula.
