SOCAR, Tatneft discuss priority areas of cooperation PHOTO/UPDATED
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Russia's Tatneft have discussed the ongoing energy projects and opportunities to organise joint production.
The statement was made in a publication on X by Mikail Jabbarov, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy, Chairman of SOCAR’s Supervisory Board, according to Caliber.Az.
"Together with SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf at a meeting with Tatneft CEO Nail Maganov, we exchanged views on priority areas of cooperation, on implemented projects in the energy sector and opportunities to organise joint production," he wrote.
“The implementation of the Roadmap for Cooperation signed between SOCAR and Tatneft during the meeting will contribute to the expansion of the partnership," Jabbarov said.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the successful development of the partnership, priority areas of cooperation and opportunities for interaction in the energy sector were considered, and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
During the meeting, SOCAR and Tatneft signed a roadmap for cooperation. The document provides for cooperation in the fields of oil production and refining, sale of oil and petrochemical products, exchange of experience, development of human capital and other areas.
The roadmap was signed by SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Tatneft CEO Nail Maganov. Then the delegation visited the city of Shusha.
