St. Petersburg hosts cultural dialogue with local and Azerbaijani diaspora participation PHOTO
A meeting between Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Russia, Rahman Mustafayev, and representatives of the Azerbaijani community in St. Petersburg engaged in the fields of culture and the arts took place in the city.
The event was organised by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia and the Consulate General in St. Petersburg, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The gathering brought together not only members of the Azerbaijani diaspora but also Russian representatives from St. Petersburg’s cultural, scientific, educational, and media sectors.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Mustafayev stressed that the Azerbaijani community abroad includes not only ethnic Azerbaijanis but also individuals of other nationalities who hail from Azerbaijan and represent their homeland with dignity. He placed particular emphasis on the importance of strengthening cultural cooperation.
Speaking at the event, Tamilla Ahmadova, Head of the Humanitarian Programs Department at the Representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Russia, outlined the organization’s longstanding activities in the fields of culture, education, and healthcare. She noted that these initiatives have been implemented under the leadership of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The meeting also featured remarks from cultural figures and diaspora representatives.
