Tokayev says education, science secure Kazakhstan’s bright future
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that investing in education and science is key to securing a bright future for Kazakhstan.
He made the statement while speaking at the International Forum of Strategic Partners titled “Kazakhstan – Territory of Academic Knowledge,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the President of Kazakhstan (Akorda).
The event brought together leaders of leading foreign universities and representatives of major international ranking and accreditation agencies, including Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), MGIMO, Beijing Language and Culture University, Cardiff University, Woosong University, the National Research Nuclear University (MEPhI), and Minerva University.

Tokayev announced that Kazakhstan has launched a pilot project to introduce educational tools based on ChatGPT technology.
He stressed that investments in education and science are aimed at modernising the economy, creating new production sectors, integrating artificial intelligence across industries, and developing Kazakhstan into a fully digital state.
The president noted that over 31,000 foreign students are currently studying in Kazakh universities — a record figure for the country. By 2029, Kazakhstan plans to increase that number to 100,000 by easing visa procedures and creating more favourable learning conditions for international students.
